Profile

Christine Gonthier, founding president of Traduction Zenith Translation inc., is a certified translator (English to French) with over 25 years of experience in the language sector. She is a member of the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO) and the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ), a provincial regulatory body that protects the public and oversees the code of ethics and professional standards in the translation industry.

 

Christine holds a master’s degree in French literature and carried her education through to a doctorate thesis. She has taught courses in French language and French Literature at Ottawa University and published several academic essays.

 

Christine Gonthier was a finalist for the Robert Cliche Award for a first novel in 2002, the CBC story award in 2013 and 2017, and her novel received special mention in the Jacques Poirier prize for literature.
